vierter stock is pleased to welcome the Spanish artist Lidia Benavides (*1971, Madrid) in the artist-in-residence program this summer 2011. Benavides will work on a new photographic series based on her explorations of solar energy camps in Berlin and surroundings. Her recent works are focused on the alternative energy production and the different tools used to gain it (2010 - Gamma; 2008 - The Sun Oven). The results of her stay will be shown in an individual exhibition this coming September in vierter stock galerie berlin. vierter stock gallery berlin invites international artists to take part in the artist-in-residence program and gives them the opportunity to live in Berlin and realize new series of work. The results of the residency period are then exhibited at the vierter stock premises. The participation to the residence program is strictly by invitation.
